The Sultana Education Foundation's recently completed Lawrence Wetlands Preserve will be open for public visitation daily from dawn to dusk during Downrigging Weekend. This 8.5-acre property features a 0.4-mile trail winding through meadows, woods, and wetlands. The Preserve is home to deer, muskrat, foxes, snapping turtles, raptors, wading birds, and migrating waterfowl. For those needing a moment of peace away from all the activity on the waterfront, the Lawrence Preserve is the place to be.
